Because the Community is under a concrete threat of eviction, funded with ESPA\/NSRF funds from the EU.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Goal of this delegation is,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>to make the struggle of the Community known towards members of the European Parliament and in this way increase the pressure on the greek state,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to ask for statements of solidarity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to show the serious gaps of the contract such as various unanswered legal questions:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unresolved issues regarding the legality of the ownership status of the buildings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Substantial, unauthorized changes to the original agreement and funding structure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alleged irregularities concerning Regional NSRF funding procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blatant incompatibilities between the approved project and the officially approved restoration study of 2018.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The absolute necessity to protect the historical and architectural character of the Prosfygika complex, officially recognized as a protected modern monument due to its Bauhaus architecture and its role in the modern history of Greece.<br><strong>Programme<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the 03\/06 there will be a meeting with Members of the European Parliament, from 4-6pm a demonstration in front of the European Parliament and in the evening a community event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the 04\/06 at 4pm we will have a press conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the time in between and on the 5th there will be time to meet with NGOs and other organizations, politicians, groups and people, who are willing to listen and support the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We ask our internationalist network to<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reach out to those who might know Members of the European Parliament and invite them for the meeting with us on the 3. of June<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contacts to human rights organizations \/ activists \/ groups \/ public figures who are based in Brussels or willing to come to meet there<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call for journalists that are based in Brussels or willing to come to join for the press conference<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For everyone who can: COME TO BRUSSELS!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why?
